Carota, Dixon Select Board victors in Chelmsford election
Wicked Local CHELMSFORD -- Incumbent George Dixon and Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Mark Carota won a four-way contest for two open Select Board seats in the April 6 town-wide elections. Meanwhile, a four-way race for three open Planning Board seats saw an upset. Challengers Deirdre Connolly and Paul McDougall joined incumbent Timothy Shanahan as victors. Incumbent Glenn Kohl is out, coming in fourth place in the vote tally. The election saw a turnout of 3,258, or 13% of the town's 25,864 registered voters, according to Town Clerk Tricia Dzuris.
