The international documentary co-production unit of France Télévisions has partnered with six other public broadcasters for a funding initiative for documentaries.

The 90 minute doco directed by Thomas Risch covers the exploration of the shipwreck from its discovery in 1985 up to the present day. It features contributions from Titanic director James Cameron,. The project is part of the Global Doc 2019 initiative, which aims to bring together networks and producers to make large-scale documentaries. It debuted on France TV in December. An airdate on SBS is yet to be announced.
