One Johnson County resident is hoping to make an old tradition come to life, and inspire others to join the movement. Teaching others to benefit from Community Song Circles has become a mission for Andrea Wenger and she has been actively recruiting for participants.

Rani Ukhengching Marma is a student in the MIT Indigenous Language Initiative, a special master’s program in Linguistics for members of communities whose languages are threatened. She is working to preserve the Marma language.
