Refinery staff, Central Bank of Nigeria staff and other notable companies’ staff in Kaduna, including businessmen and women who spent millions of Naira to build mansions along the Kakau, Federal Housing, Goni Gora new layout in Kaduna have packed out of their homes to locations where safety is better secured. Investigations by DAILY POST revealed that some homeowners abandoned their buildings to rent two-room apartments in town for safety reasons while others allegedly sold their houses and vacated the area. ....

Share Aggrieved residents of Goni Gora a suburb of Kaduna metropolis blocked the Kaduna /Abuja highway to express their anger over the incessant abductions and banditry activities. A protester who gave his name as Simon Peters said the rate of abductions in the area is worrisome. According to him, yesterday (Friday) the kidnappers stormed his area and operated for four hours without any hindrance. He said four people were abducted in Ungwan Auta by bandits on Friday night. The protesters mostly youths, women and children barricaded the high way with heavy and wood, thus creating heavy traffic flow on the road. ....
