Roughly 360,000 study permits expected to be approved this year
The Canadian government has announced a reduction on the number of permits it would be issuing out to international students coming to the country for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. This was announced in a press statement released on Monday by the country’s Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, stating that the decision was necessitated due to the continual increment of international students in the country.

Starting Jan 2024, foreign postgraduate students enrolled in non-research courses will no longer be able to bring family members to the UK.
