Nvidia s new Grace CPU
As usual, Nvidia had a raft of product announcements ready for its annual GTC conference which started today. Among the standouts were the Grace data centre CPU, a next-generation BlueField DPU, Omniverse Enterprise for 3D collaboration, and updates to the company s Drive platform.
Grace – named after computing pioneer Grace Hopper – is Nvidia s first data centre CPU, designed for extremely large-scale AI and HPC workloads.
Model sizes are doubling every 2.5 months, said Nvidia senior director of accelerated computing Paresh Kharya, pointing to the way the GPT-3 model uses 175 billion parameters. This suggests 100 trillion parameter models will exist by 2023. ....

Munich, Germany / Budapest, Hungary, February 24, 2021 – Through the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, Markus Engineering is pressing on with delivery of the new Radisson Collection Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, by using multiple software solutions from the Nemetschek Group. Despite the restrictions against in-person working, the engineering and management firm has kept the project on schedule leveraging GRAPHISOFT and Bluebeam.
The new Radisson Collection Hotel is a 71-room hotel being built within one of the historic buildings located on St. Stephen’s Square, in the heart of Budapest. BUDAPEST (Reuters) - For Budapest-based firm GRAPHISOFT, which makes software for architectural design, the time when workers can return to their offices has a name - the “next normal” - and managing it well is so crucial they are appointing a dedicated manager.

“If companies get this wrong they could kill themselves,” said Huw Roberts, chief executive officer, sitting alone in GRAPHISOFT’s state-of-the-art offices near the river Danube.
