A writer originally from New York City who s a graduate student at Hollins University has been spending time riding bus routes in Roanoke as a means of inspiring her poetry. The Writer by Bus program is a public art project backed by Ride Solutions, the Roanoke Arts Commission and the Greater Roanoke Transit Authority.
