More Colorado communities take "forever chemical" makers to court
Castle Rock this week became the latest Colorado community to hire legal counsel to pursue claims against the manufacturers of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances -- toxic and pervasive chemicals known by the shorthand PFAS. The chemicals are widely used in carpets, cosmetics, furniture, clothes, adhesives and sealants, cookware, firefighting foams and much more. But they can also cause grave health problems.
