Mortal Kombat movie "spin-off" has been revealed, dubbed Mortal Thumbat. During the HBO Max Watch Party for the movie -- which, at the moment of writing this is still going -- Ludi Lin, who play Liu Kanvg, revealed the aforementioned and unofficial spin-off, which runs at one minute long and features the thumb war version of the
Mortal Kombat Tournament.

Todd Garner, the film producer for
Mortal Kombat, has promised a trailer for the movie will be released ‘in the new year’. He also apologised to fans for the delay when he shared the new poster.

Last year it was also confirmed that the film would receive an R rating and show the iconic Fatalities feature “on the big screen”.
