GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) A suburban Portland teen was sentenced to 18 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter for killing a man in a botched drug deal robbery, prosecutors said Friday.
Jacob Cadle, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, robbery with a firearm and attempted assault for the death of 23-year-old Joshua Cermack and the wounding of Christian Stai, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported.
On Dec. 31 2019, investigators found Cermack dead and Stai seriously hurt in a parked pickup truck in Gresham. Both were shot multiple times, according to police. ....

Police say her 2-year-old sister also was injured in the Saturday night collision.
A 9-year-old girl died Saturday night after being hit by a car in Gresham. Her 2-year-old sister was taken to a hospital after being injured in the same collision.
The names of the victims were not immediately released. Gresham police said the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
According to police, a mother and her two daughters were hit by a car on Northwest Eastman Parkway and Northwest Third Street. The 9-year-old died at the scene. The condition of her sister was not released. ....

Missouri Man Accused Of Killing 2 Wisconsin Brothers Goes To Trial For Theft

WARRENSBURG, MO (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Prosecutors in Missouri say the man accused of killing two Wisconsin brothers convinced someone outside the jail where he is being held to retrieve a trailer for him. Garland Nelson said he had paid 500-dollars for the trailer, but police say he didn’t own it.
Nelson is facing capital murder charges for the July 2019 deaths of Nicholas and Justin Diemel of Shawano County. He will face theft charges when he goes on trial next month.
That case is legally separate from his murder trial scheduled for March of next year. ....
