FRESNO — The Bakersfield Californian was honored five times Tuesday night in the annual Gruner Awards competition for Central Valley journalism, the most of any news organization.
Former Times-Delta editor Jim Houck will be honored for his 60-year career in journalism on July 10 at 210 Cafe in downtown Visalia.
Jim Houck, whose career in journalism stretched over 60 years in both big and small newspapers, died in Visalia at 81.
