India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections soared to a new peak of Rs 2.10 lakh crore in April, marking a 12.4% increase from the previous year, according to the Finance Ministry. The surge was fueled by a 13.4% rise in domestic transactions and an 8.3% increase in imports.

In October 2021, the revenues were Rs 1,30,127 crore, while in April 2021, it was the highest at over Rs 1.41 lakh crore.
India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection remained above the Rs 1-lakh-crore mark for third straight month in September at over Rs 1.17 lakh crore, the finance ministry said on Friday. The revenues for the month of September 2021, are 23 per cent higher than the GST revenues in September 2020.
