Pinellas nursing home residents cheer coronavirus vaccinations
About 70 percent of residents got coronavirus vaccinations at Gulf Shore Care Center on Friday as Florida distributed the first wave of the vaccines.

PINELLAS PARK — Donna Wright had already decided to get the coronavirus vaccine when staffers at Gulf Shore Care Center first asked her about it earlier this week.
But on Friday morning, the 78-year-old sat next to a paramedic in the nursing home dining facility and paused. She didn’t like needles, she said. A staff member wheeled her back out to the hall, and in again five minutes later when she changed her mind. ....
