Milford City Council at a workshop prior to their meeting on April 12, began a review of capital improvement projects in the city for FY22 through FY26. “I want to remind council that this is a plan and that we don’t want to get too hung up on the dollar amounts at this time,” Lou Vitola, Chief Financial Officer for the city, said. “Congress is looking at bills for infrastructure and there is the America Rescue Plan Act that could provide us with additional funding. We have also heard there may be additional streams of funding for some of these projects.” ....

City Council Approves Economic Development Position | Milford LIVE! - Local Delaware News, Kent and Sussex Counties

City Hall Milford, DE
On Monday, December 14, Milford City Council approved the creation of an Economic Development and Community Engagement Administrator. This is a position created to address Council’s desire to create a stronger economic development focus, according to Mark Whitfield, City Manager.
“The City also has a need for emphasis on community engagement, public information and marketing,” Whitfield said. “Because these items are somewhat related, creating one position that would handle both community engagement and economic development seems appropriate. Several cities in Delaware have such positions, including Seaford which has a position exactly like the one proposed here. The annual salary for such a position would be a Grade 12, ranging from $72,260 to $124,238.” ....
