ALBANY - Grand Central Terminal will be getting new passengers: Travelers from the Long Island Rail Road. An unprecedented $11 billion project to run new rail lines from Long Island into Grand Central in midtown Manhattan will bring eight miles of new tunnels and 40 miles of new tracks, providing east side access to commuters from Long Island.
