The Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education on Monday night approved the promotion of Amanda Jackson to principal at Washington Elementary School, effective July 1.
Based in Marshall, the local AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program seeks volunteers to work with special needs students in Sedalia.
In November, the Sedalia Police Department launched this year’s Sedalia elementary school coloring contest. All elementary-grade students in Heber Hunt, Horace Mann, Parkview, Skyline, Sacred Heart, Washington, and St. Paul’s schools were given the opportunity to color a drone picture to enter the contest.
“It’s been a lot more work, but it's worth seeing the children enjoy the food,” Chappell said. “The menu has been amazing and the food has been outstanding.”
