Club Olympia swimmers make waves
Club Olympia Swim team members took part in two competitions last weekend in Fishers. Fishers was one of the regional sites for the 18-and-under National Championships.
Brady Beyer, a 15-year-old sophomore at Columbus East, won the 200-yard breaststroke and 100 breaststroke for the Fishers site. He had six top-five finishes and made the finals in all eight of his events.
Nalanie Cortez, a 15-year-old sophomore at Columbus North, won the 200 butterfly and 100 freestyle for the Fishers site. She had five top-five finishes and made the finals in all six of her events.
Meanwhile, several other Club Olympia swimmers competed in the Santa Claus Classic, also at Fishers, against clubs from Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
