On Wednesday, in the morning, at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Kedron Park, Her Excellency Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received a briefing on operations, toured the facilities and met with staff.

Following, at the Queensland Police Memorial, Brisbane, Her Excellency laid a wreath to honour police officers, Constable Matthew Arnold and Constable Rachel McCrow.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted an afternoon reception to celebrate Christmas for Queensland Parliamentary Services staff, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Customs House, Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo RFD attended the Consular Corps of Queensland’s Christmas Dinner, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Government House, members of the public visited to view the 2022 Government House Christmas Lights display.
