In the last year of the clinton presidency, bill clinton, the president , decided he would bag the gridiron dinner, where the president usually goes to speak. And he didnt like it much. It was the second time he didnt. And taking his place was al gore. I got a phone call just a few days before the dinner, wondering if id help in Vice President gores speech.
