The Northwest District 4-H area Consumer Judging Competition was held in Dallas on Nov. 2 where 18 Cobb County 4-H’ers competed for top honors.

The 2022 National Games Matches, part of the annual Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) National Rifle Matches at Camp Perry, belonged to the women as they collected national record scores in four of seven main events offered within the schedule.

A disturbing photo is circulating out of Corbin High School involving two students, one African American student has a noose around his neck. Two students say they felt it was important to speak out about the racism at the school and in the town.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) National Air Gun events, fired each year alongside the National Trophy Pistol and Rifle Matches, gives experienced competitors and those simply looking for a fun challenge the rare opportunity to compete on a national level.
