national flags: Seven-year-old prodigy sets new record in naming countries and national flags
Seven-year-old P I Shastivel from Sowripalayam in India has set records for memorizing and identifying the flags and names of countries. He completed the feat by reciting all the countries' names in alphabetical order in just 34 seconds and correctly identifying 195 flags in three minutes and 21 seconds. Shastivel's interest in national flags started by observing his brother studying territories for exams. His family downloaded the Historical Flags application, which helped him hone his skills. He recieved a medal and certificate for his recognition at the district collectorate.
