Rozzie O Reilly, 28, from Holbrook NSW has an exciting year ahead of her, after being crowned the 2021 Australian winner of the Zanda McDonald Award.
As the breeding manager at Australia s largest prime lamb seedstock business, Lambpro, O Reilly is responsible for managing the database for over 6000 performance recorded stud ewes, co-ordinating staff and providing numerous client services.
O Reilly has a Bachelor of Animal Science with First Class Honours, and also runs a sheep and cattle business on agistment and lease country with her fiancé.
O Reilly was thrilled to receive the award, and was particularly excited about spending time with members of the Platinum Primary Producers (PPP) Group, the network of over 150 of Australasia s influential agri-business men and women, of which Zanda McDonald was a foundation member. ....

Business Women Albury Wodonga are celebrating the return of face to face networking in style, with their next event on International Women’s Day 8 March.
Chair Desiree Georgiou says women in business have missed opportunities to network and collaborate in person due to the pandemic and border closures.
“We’ve been home for such a long time and to get back into the community on a business perspective is really fabulous for women, whether they are business owners, employees or start-ups,” Desiree said.

Famed for his Mark Twain one-man show, actor Hal Holbrook dies at 95
In 1985, actor Hal Holbrook told an interviewer in Kalamazoo, Michigan, that American humorist-writer Mark Twain “has become integrated into my whole life … no matter what the subject, he’s always a tremendously amusing wise old bird.” By that time, Holbrook had been performing his one-man show, “Mark Twain Tonight” for 31 consecutive years just about the midpoint of its run. The actor went on, “I think it would be a pretty good idea to keep doing this every year until I drop dead.”

Rainfall Upwards Between 50 and 120mm Are Likely Across The Region
Severe weather is knocking on our door with meteorologists predicting a dynamic day and warning the time to prepare is now.
Speaking with Kylie and Kev, Prime7 news anchor and meteorologist Karl Lijnders says the North East and Southern NSW region is forecast for a very wet day.

“Severe thunderstorms are very likely, with strong to severe weather right throughout the day,” Karl warned.
“Rainfall upwards between 50 and 120mm are likely across the region over the coming 24 to 36 hours, so again flood watches are likely to be issued or re-issued if they haven’t already been by the Bureau. ....
