Letters: There's work to do to make South Bend more pedestrian-friendly
South Bend is not a pedestrian-friendly city. The city has been trying to improve pedestriansâ mobility with new bike paths downtown and around it, but I feel that the city is still very unsafe for pedestrians, bike users and people who use public transport. Cars on the roads go too fast in places where the sidewalks are in terrible condition and are pretty narrow. As a pedestrian and regular bike user, I donât feel safe at all on South Bend roads.
