Mar 9, 2021 Timothy Spencer Dennison, age 57, of Kiantone, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021. Tim was born Aug. 31, 1963, and grew up on the family farm in Kiantone, graduating from Frewsburg High School in 1981. He received his BS and MS, both in Computer Science, from the State University of New York Institute of Technology in Utica, N.Y. His 20-plus year career in computer networking took him all over the world, including living for various lengths of time in New Hampshire, Minnesota, Seattle, Singapore, and Virginia. Following an early retirement for health reasons he returned to the family home in Kiantone where he spent his remaining years. In addition to his professional work Tim was an active volunteer with various organizations, including the Red Cross, serving as an emergency medical technician at sporting events, and managing computer systems for the Marine Corps Marathon for a number of years. Feb 24, 2021 Sebastiana “Bessie” Indriolo, 102 of Jamestown, N.Y. died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 surrounded by her daughters. She was born in Ravenna, O.H. on Oct. 28, 1918 the daughter of the late Antonino and Sebastiana Calanni. At the age of four she returned to Tortorici, Sicily with her family. As a young woman she became a licensed seamstress and later married her late husband, Peter Indriolo in Acquedolci, Sicily on Sept. 26, 1953. A year later with dreams for a better life, Peter and Bessie moved back to the United States to raise their family in Jamestown, N.Y. Bessie was employed by National Worsted Mills and then Worked at Truck-Lite for 20 years. In earlier years, she and Peter were the owners of George’s Tavern in Brooklyn square. ....
Jan 8, 2021 Francis P “Pucky” Mistretta, 86, of Jamestown, passed away Dec. 30, 2020, at Heritage Park. He was born April 6, 1934, in Jamestown, the son of Joseph and Mary Inserra Mistretta. Pucky attended James-town High School, where he was extremely athletic. He played football, basket-ball, and ran track. His picture was often in the news-papers for his athletic achievements. After graduating high school, Pucky attended Jamestown Community College, where he found his love for the theatre. He played the character of Herbie in Jamestown Community College’s production of Gypsy. He loved singing and acting. Pucky sang locally in many bars and restaurants. After working construction at the local 600 union, Pucky decided to move to Hollywood, Cal-if., to concentrate on singing and acting. He worked at Desilu Studios, helping behind the scenes on many different shows. He took the stage name Frankie Mayo and started to preform in famous nightclubs in Hollywood. ....
