Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has revealed how terrorists who attacked the Kuje Correctional Centre overpowered a total of 65 security personnel including 31 Nigerian Army troops during the attack. The minister claimed that the personnel, which comprised the Army, Air Force, NSCDC and others were heavily armed but failed to defend the facilities as they were disarmed by the terrorists, Daily Post reports. Aregbesola made the claim when he appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence on Monday.
