In the Public School who are working so hard to meet the required mandates. Schools are driven by mandates, academic achievement, achievement, enrollment. But the conditions in which the virus grows, if you follow the metaphor that bullying is a systemic virus, then the environment has to change so the virus cannot grow and the only way the environment changes is if youth and adults begin to speak with one voice about changing the social norms that allows it to happen. It makes sense to most of us, you have it khaifrpb the social norms. We must educate. But we must go beyond thinking more rigor will get us better achievement. If you simply address the 70 pretrial part of the problem, you would not need a new jail. Its easy to see the numbers are represented right in that statistic. And if, indeed, the District Attorneys Office is working on a tool to assess the capability of releasing more people pretrial, if that study should be done in time for you to redirect this decision and redirect these monies, it always comes down to a matter of priorities. And i know that the sheriff will say that the monies to build Capital Investment money is not the same thing as operation money and you cant just take it out of one pot and put it in another. But the reality is a lot of this is coming from the general fund and the reality is that all the time were spending talking about this today and in other things is timely not able to keep on developing these very robust programs that

We need to have funding available to help them so they dont go back in. This is speaking for the clients that i speak to every day. We also need to be mindful of the fact we need to accommodate families of those who are incarcerated to be able to see their loved ones. We have talked about policy, legal, now you hear about organizations doing boots on the ground and doing work in their communities. Okay, being the eldest of three and a vietnamese family is very difficult. Throw in being gay, it makes it a lot more stressful.
