TAMPA, Fla. — People of color have long been denied access to loans in this country, making it harder to start businesses and buy homes.
ABC Action News in-depth reporter Anthony Hill is digging deeper to find out how implicit bias is preventing many people of color from getting loans and what one local organization is doing to level the playing field.

Dr. Bryant T. Marks, Sr. is a minister, researcher, trainer, and award-winning educator. His calling/passion/purpose is to develop the knowledge, wisdom, and skills of others that will allow them to reach their full potential and live their lives with purpose and passion. He is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Morehouse College, Founding Director and Principal Trainer with the National Training Institute on Race & Equity. Dr. Marks served as a Commissioner with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans and the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities with the Obama Administration.
