Free Fire back in India as Hiranandani and Singapore's new citizen navigate through govt's China ban

Sea Ltd. is relaunching its mobile game, now called Free Fire India, in the country after it was banned a year and a half ago. The game will be available on September 5, with Indian user data stored on local servers provided by partner Yotta. Sea's e-commerce operation in India was shut down earlier this year due to "market uncertainties." India's ban on Chinese apps, including Free Fire, surprised both management and investors.
