Volunteers clean up lake areas, find pile of paper litter

The volunteers kept going with their cleanup mission at MES Grounds. This time, they were joined by volunteers from the Robin Hood Army who also wanted to help. With support from BBMP marshals and people passing by, they quickly cleared away more than 15 sacks of garbage in just 90 minutes.

From the date the flower show started on August 4 until August 12, over 200 volunteers have taken part to ensure that Lalbagh stays litter-free. Over 60 plus Saahas team members are working on the ground, spreading awareness, and making sure that the vendors do not carry any single-use plastics with them. In the past eight days, 2 tonnes of waste have been generated and collected from the flower show.
