Does the biopic of Oppenheimer get shortchanged under the weight of Christopher Nolan's auteur-ship and reputation?
There are two critical aspects in creativity which have been at the very centre of discussions about Oppenheimer since its release. They are: 'understanding' a creation as opposed to 'connecting emotionally' to a creation. It seems that there is a large audience which have “understood” the film. But there is a section of the audience which has not connected emotionally to the film.
