Lai Mohammed, information and culture minister, condemned the act on Tuesday in Abuja at a ministerial panel of the ongoing UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Week. The minister also blamed Nigerian media and social media personalities for reporting the news. The U.S. on Sunday warned that there was an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, especially in Abuja, the nation's capital.
