The system is bad. We got some really good folks there. I had to interject that. Me included. Ive been there the last 35 years. I believe due to all the positions ive held during that time, i would be a asset to this community because i can speak not many topics regarding the upcoming changes and ive been able to work with three generations of families, good and bad. Thats a good thing and a bad thing. We know the cycle is generational. I do have a wide perspective and understanding the community as a whole. Ive worked with my all my life. And then the actual final report which often times may be pending further toxicology testing, or may additional investigation. That has taken a longer period of time. We have particularly difficult time doing that in 2018, after the department move to the new location. All of our Forensic Laboratory equipment was being recertified. Some of that is decisions far before we as policymakers were here. They were made in the overall city. This is something the department of Public Health and there is a move, i guess, in the last 20 years to get out of the business of subacute care. It doesnt seem to make sense to me. Those patients are not going away. Those patients will need care. What we are saying in our Decision Making is, yes, but someone else is going to take care of them so we are going to send them to sacramento and san jose and to los angeles.
