Upstate Parent’s 2024 Day Camp Guide

Ellen Fogle, a sixth-grade teacher at Inman Intermediate School, was named the 2021 Teacher of the Year for Nixa Public Schools. The surprise announcement was made on Facebook early Monday. Fogle was honored along with three finalists: Rachel Claunch, Jason Foster and Mandy Patton. Typically, Nixa's top teacher is announced at a spring gala. The district did not schedule that event this year due to the pandemic. Friday is National Wear Red Day to spread awareness for heart disease. The day holds a special place in the hearts of everyone at Inman Intermediate School.Students, teachers and staff at the school honored one of their own students Friday with a “red out”.“It warmed my heart,” Inman Intermediate 4thgrader Kinsley Ann Settle said. “It made me happy.”Settle was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplasia of the Left Pulmonary Artery and Absence of the Inferior Vena Cava.
