new satellite images showing the damage from above. but despite that today russia says it is starting to resume some car and train service there. let s go to cnn international security editor nick paton walsh live for us in ukraine. the message ukraine is sending with this latest attack? reporter: yes, we don t have public recognition from ukraine they were behind this but russian president vladimir putin recently heard from the head of his investigative committee they believe the ukrainian secret service or special services were behind this attack with the assistance of some foreigners. they referred to it as a terrorist attack on the civilian infrastructure of russia. now obviously i should point out while civilians do use the bridge, it has been used to deliver supplies and equipment for russia s invasion of ukraine. clearly a move of significant public issue for vladimir putin. he s called tomorrow publicly he will be meeting with members of his security council. ....

happened. a massive explosion on a bridge that dealt a major blow to russia s military supply capabilitying. ukraine has not claimed responsibility for that damage, but an aide to presukraine s president said this may be an act of retaliation. here s a view of the explosion we didn t see yesterday. russian officials say three people were killed in all of this. nick paton walsh joins me now. it looks like russian retaliation. what more can you tell us? reporter: certainly, the strike in zaporizhzhia, we now know the death toll to be 13 with over 80 people injured. hundreds of rescuers are still working at the site of the apartment block that was hit by six cruise missiles dropped by a strategic bomber, and also an su-35 attack jet. also, some anti-aircraft missiles, s-300s according to ukrainian officials involved, a sign that russia s inventory is getting low. is it retaliation? i should point out, zaporizhzhia where this occurred is being hit over the last week repea ....
