Looming recession, what wall street has predicted or not getting bonuses or raises they were expecting. can you say a recession is coming. wall street and a yield curve says it is. it s been months now, a year plus now that people have been predicting a recession is about to happen. it still has not happened? you re exactly right. we see just repeated predictions that, you know, this is just around the corner. what i see in the economy is consistent resilience. again, you know, the forecasters had been saying you just aren t going to see inflation coming down absent really big disruptions to the labor market. that s just not what we have seen. inflation is now down at %. it s back to the normal sort of range, and that has taken place against the backdrop of unemployment that s been below 4% now for 17 months in a row, ....
