Republican incumbent congressional seat and with laura kelly taking the governorship and with these four members of the state legislature flipping from republican to democrat, kansas is still red, but it is starting to take on a sort of light purple tinge around the edges. and here s another thing that has just happened in kansas. you might remember that before the midterm elections this year, our show actually spent a pretty good amount of time in kansas. specifically in a famous and historic town called dodge city, which is fan-gunsmoke-tastic. jacquelin, you take buell and you take the rest of your men and you get out of dodge. you get out of dodge. dodge city of gunsmoke fame in southwest, kansas. they still do celebrate the old gunsmoke vibe. there is a gunfighters wax ....
Almost two years of incarceration. his daughter, jacquelin and i met last week or the week before last with his son-in-law. he has been in contact with family members under the terms of the house arrest. he is able to reach out and speak with members of the family. was able to speak with me and suspect he will speak with other members of congress. it s a great first step. he was really in prison for almost 17 months in a cell designed for eight that had 21 people in it. he is at least around the familiar environment of his home and now i want him to be in the very familiar environment of his home in north carolina. sandra: the president said he will not rest to quote jay sekulow, the president will not rest until andrew brunson is returned home to the united states. good to have you on the program this morning. bill: let s get him home. fox news alert on the korean peninsula. new satellite images reportedly ....
Problem. experts i talked to said there s really no magic 8 ball here that s going to fick the problem. when you look at potential new solutions that the trump administration could try if they wanted to try something new, there aren t really a ton of options that are good. military options aren t really great, so it s just sort of more of the same and more of these sanctions, and right now it s unclear if this latest round of sakes is going to work. yeah. well, we ll continue to watch the situation there. jacquelin, thank you. thank you. today marks day 200 of the trump administration and the vice president is blasting a report that claims he is positioning himself to run for president in 2020 with a shadow campaign to cultivate allies as other republican leaders make early trips to iowa and new hampshire. the new york times oh story contends that pence has made himself the conduit between major republican donors and the administration. at least eight fundraisers for outside g ....
Jacquelin. good to talk to you once again this morning. secretary tillerson and his north korean counterpart, they are set to be in the same room together for the first time later today. what are the chances of anything coming out of that encounter? i m not expecting to see anything major. it s unclear if the two men will even speak to each other, even though they are going to be in the same room. if they do, i expect tillerson to kind of reup what he told press that the u.s. is potentially open to talks if north korea stops these provocative actions. he didn t give a timeline for how long these would have to stop to be open to those talks. just said we ll know it when we see it. i would sort of expect him if the two men talk to reiterate that message. how much of a player do you think secretary tillerson is in resolving this north korean conflict? i mean, as secretary of state he has a huge piece of this. you know, he is the one over there in the room with all these people makin ....
Work as a team. while the intelligence profession oftentimes demands skresy, it is critically important that will be a full and open discourse on intelligence mraerts with the appropriate elected representatives of the american people. although i consider myself neither a republican nor a democrat, i very much look forward to working closely with those on both sides of the aisle. finally and most importantly, to my wife cathy and to my children kyle, jacquelin, kelly, to my parents in new jersey, a shout-out. [ laughter ] owen is 92, and my mom, dorothy, is 91, my brother tom and my sister cathleen, and my jersey roots, i could not where i am today without their love, their patience, their understanding, and their support. there is no way i can ever repay that except to say i think i m going to need it for a little bit longer.
