Monroe County Fair offers perfect weather, big crowds Friday
The Herald-Times The weather couldn’t have been better for the Monroe County Fair on Friday. Sunshine dried up the mud from rain earlier in the week and a breeze blew through the fairgrounds with a temperature in the mid-70’s all evening. It was a beautiful day. The fairgrounds were packed as Monroe County residents finished up the work week. Around 7:30 p.m., a man came over the PA system and said the line of cars waiting to get in and park was a mile and a half long.
