Many of us know Dear White Peoplestar Logan Browning as an actress. When she’s not starring front and center on the big and small screen though, she’s doing important work for young people as an advocate for bully prevention. The 31-year-old is the moderator for the 3rd Annual Culture Shock Event by STOMP Out Bullying. The event will bring together a diverse group of young celebrities and influencers to speak to young people ages 11 through 24, starting a conversation about “the need to change the culture from one of cruelty to one of kindness and inclusivity.” The event will be livestreamed in a number of schools throughout the country on Wednesday, April 21. Browning is hopeful that not only will young students tune in, but so will adults who, as she says, “know someone who is 11 to 24 and have been 11 to 24.” She has taken part in the event over the last few years and says not only is it an eye-opening conversation always, but it’s also a good time. ....
The same processor that powered Apple s iconic, colorful 1998 iMac is being used to run NASA s Perseverance on Mars. The rover is fitted with a PowerPC 750 processor that was found in the iMac G3 before Apple switched to Intel chips in 2005, New Scientist reports. The processor, which is also found in the Curiosity rover, features just 10.4 million transistors - more than 1,000 times less than a smartphone. Although the idea of using an outdated, less powerful process may sound absurd, it is capable of withstands intense radiation and temperatures - two treacherous elements found in Mars. Matt Lemke, NASA s deputy manager for Orion s avionics, told The Space Review back in 2014: Compared to the [Intel] Core i5 in your laptop, it s much slower…it s probably not any faster than your smartphone. ....

Middle Tennessee weather: Flood threat remains as rain moves out, temperatures drop Brett Kelman, Brinley Hineman and Rachel Wegner, Nashville Tennessean Overnight weather triggered severe storm warnings, flash flood warnings and a tornado watch across Nashville and Middle Tennessee on Sunday. Southwestern Dickson and east central Humphreys counties also saw a tornado warning. Parts of Middle Tennessee saw gusts of high-speed winds, flash flooding and hail. Around 2.7 inches of rain accumulated between Friday and Sunday at the Nashville airport, NWS Nashville meteorologist Caroline Adcock said. Several flood advisories and warnings continue throughout the region Monday as the rain moves out. ....
