Residents of a small area near the Navy's Red Hill fuel facility may resume using their water for all purposes, effective immediately, the DOH said.
As the federal government fights the state's shutdown order in court, city and state lawmakers are making moves to close the facility through legislation.
Some service members and their families who became ill when jet fuel leaked into the water supply at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam urged lawmakers Tuesday to fight for long-term medical care for the victims and require transparency from the Navy about the contamination.
