The Indian Institute of Technology-Guwahati (IIT-G) has suspended a research scholar for “defaming the institution” four months after he took to social media to question the credibility of the joint entrance examination (JEE).
Vikrant Singh had on October 29, 2020, posted on Facebook his reaction to the arrest of a JEE (Mains) topper from Assam for using a proxy to write the exam. He said the “problem of proxy isn’t a new thing” and that the IITs have “acted in vague and sad manner” against teach ....

Meet Pal Aggarwal, UP State’s Girl Student Topper In The JEE Mains

Pal Aggarwal from Ghaziabad has become the Uttar Pradesh state topper at the score of 99.988 percentile in the Joint Entrance Exam (Mains) 2021 conducted in the February session, according to the results declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) late on Monday evening.
“It was a double celebration at our house. First, I emerged as UP topper in JEE (Mains) and second, it happened on International Women’s Day,” said the 17-year-old. “This is like a dream come true,” she added, mentioning how it is generally the boys topping the JEE. ....
