Fairfield Mayor Mike Dreith says he is seeking help from civic groups willing to help with Renew Fairfield, a consolidated effort to clean up the City. It will be held on April 23rd, and the mayor says he needs people willing to volunteer to paint houses, as well as ideas for what houses need work. Wayne County Board Chairman Bruce Reeves says the board will not vote on naming an Interim Sheriff at its meeting tonight. He says the board must first formally declare a vacancy for the position, and letters will then be sent to the Republican and Democratic Party Chairs. The board is expected to hold a special session in the coming days to bring the matter to a vote.
