In total, the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund has given 60 grants totaling over $40,000 over the last five grant periods.

The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund recently announced its fall 2022 grant award recipients following a competitive application and review process, 13 out of 22 applicants were selected to receive almost $10,000 for various projects throughout the Bemidji Area School District.

These positions would fulfill the remainder of the terms of former board members Jeff Haack and Gabriel Warren who resigned in November 2021 and July 2022 respectively.

The Bemidji Area Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 18, in the district office board room. The board is set to approve two resolutions related to the district’s general and special elections for school board members taking place Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The first Bemidji Area Schools Board of Education meeting of the summer was met with some sweltering heat and even a tornado threat on Monday, but board members kept their cool in the board room while tying up some loose ends from this past school year and planning for the next one.
