College of the Ozarks wins First Place Voters Choice Award

The student-made apple butter made by the Fruitcake & Jelly Kitchen at College of the Ozarks won the First Place Voters Choice Award in Springfield Business Journal’s “2023 Coolest Things Made in the Ozarks.” It received the most votes in polling before the event, with 440 votes out of around 1,700 votes in the SBJ contest.

College of the Ozarks hosted the Work Ethic Forum with Mike Rowe, executive producer and host, bestselling author, podcaster, and CEO of mikeroweWORKS Foundation, on March 28, 2023. Rowe spent half of the day touring a handful of over 100 campus workstations, including The Fruitcake & Jelly Kitchen, The W. Alton Jones Dairy, and The Print Shop. Later that evening at the Work Ethic Forum, Rowe participated in a student-led question and answer session regarding the importance and relevance of work.

College of the Ozarks reopens parts of campus to the public

View Comments The College of the Ozarks will reopen parts of its campus to visitors, beginning Monday with the Hope Greenhouses and Patriots Park. Edwards Mill and General Store, along with the Stained Glass and Candle Shop, will reopen May 26, shortly before Memorial Day weekend. They will be open to the public Monday through Saturday.
