Out of the 200 Palestinians wounded on Friday’s violent clashes in Jerusalem, two suffered moderate wounds. Amid the unprecedented participation of Arab citizens of Israel in the recent incidents, it is not surprising that both of them are not East Jerusalem residents, but rather Arab citizens of Israel.
According to Sireen Jbareen, 25, a leading figure in the young Arab citizens of Israel protest movement, more than 250 protesters from the Israeli Arab city of Umm al-Fahm alone took part in the protests in Sheikh Jarrah on Friday. In addition, hundreds of the protesters who clashed with police in the Al-Aqsa mosque compound on Friday evening came from northern and central Israeli Arab towns. ....

Palestinians hope to stop Easter day evictions in Jerusalem – Mondoweiss

Palestinian Christians and their supporters are urging Pope Francis and the World Council of Churches to intervene in more than a dozen evictions in Jerusalem “scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 2, which happens to coincide with the Greek Orthodox celebration of Easter,” according to a letter written by Kairos Palestine in March.
Around 16 families and a total of 195 Palestinians, including 70 children, are slated to be removed from their homes in two occupied East Jerusalem neighborhoods, Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan. The impending displacement comes after a district court upheld appeals from two settler organizations who claim deeds to the properties.
