Women s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul was released last month after nearly three years in prison The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Monday awarded its human rights prize to Saudi Arabian activist Loujain Al-Hathloul. The Vaclav Havel Human Rights Award has been awarded annually since 2013 to individuals or institutions for an extraordinary contribution to the defense of human rights. The prize is named after Vaclav Havel, the human rights activist and president of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, and is endowed with €60,000 ($72,000). ....
