They took action after piles of rubbish – including many Amazon boxes – were dumped on the Pewsey Downs. Angry walkers have even tried to get the delivery giant to take action but as yet it has not. The rubbish, on MoD land, includes paint pots, a dismantled shed and old kitchen units, as well as a box sent from a company distributing Chinese mirrors. Jill Reeve was one of those upset by the mess. She said: “We are lucky enough to live in a really beautiful area of Britain. The unrivalled walking has been such a bonus during these lockdown months.
