2021 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon rescheduled to fall

The 17th annual marathon had been scheduled for March but was postponed by the persistent pandemic.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.
UPDATE MONDAY: Runners who have been missing the postponed Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon now have a target date for which to train: Oct. 2-3.
On Monday, planners announced the in-person Kids Run and 5K would take place the afternoon and evening of Saturday, Oct. 2, and the in-person marathon, half marathon and relay events would be held starting 7:30 a.m. Oct. 3.
Come October, if they wish, runners still will be able to participate remotely.
Last year s marathon first was bumped from March 2020 to the fall and then ultimately forced to be held in a virtual format. Early this year, race organizers warned that this year s event was being postponed from March but hadn t announced a precise new date. ....
