Las parejas españolas formadas por Aina Cid y Virginia Díaz y por Javier García y Jaime Canalejo no han podido estar este jueves en la pelea por las medallas en sus finales del dos sin timonel del remo de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio y han finalizado ambas en la sexta plaza.
Los primeros en buscar la medalla han sido los dos remeros andaluces iban en la cuarta plaza al paso por los 1000 metros, pero finalmente no han podido firmar la remontada hacia un podio que se les ha quedado lejos. La medalla de oro ha sido para los croatas Martin y Valent Sinkovic, seguidos de los rumanos Marius Cozmiuc y Ciprian Tudosa y de los daneses Frederic Vystavel y Joachim Sutton.

Tokio, 29 jul (Prensa Latina) Croacia alcanzó hoy su segundo título en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020 gracias a la dupla de Martin y Valent Sinkovic, que se impuso en la modalidad de doble sin timonel masculino del remo.
Los croatas llegaron primero a la meta del canal Sea Forest con tiempo de seis minutos, 15 segundos y 29 centésimas, delante de la pareja rumana integrada por Marius Cosmiuc y Ciprian Tudosa con 6:16.58, mientras los daneses Federic Vystavel y Joachim Sutton fueron terceros con 6:16.88.

Tokio, 29 jul (Prensa Latina) Nueva Zelanda logró hoy el primer título en los Juegos Olímpicos, cuando la dupla Grace Pendergrast y Kerri Gowler dominó el doble par sin timonel femenino con tiempo de seis minutos, 50 segundos y 19 centésimas.
Para la segunda plaza llegaron las representantes del Comité Olímpico Ruso Vasilisa Stepanova y Elena Oriabisnkaia con crono de 6:51.45, mientras las canadienses Caileigh Filmer y Hillary Janssen culminaron terceras con 6:53.10.
En otro de los resultados de la fecha Croacia alcanzó el título en la propia modalidad, gracias a la pareja de Martin y Valent Sinkovic que se impuso con registro 6:15.29, por delante de los rumanos Marius Cosmiuc y Ciprian Tudosa (6:16.58) y los daneses Federic Vystavel y Joachim Sutton (6:16.88).
