Our local restaurants are fighting to survive, and every little bit helps, especially until outdoor dining returns and vaccination is widespread. This is important on many levels. Pre-pandemic, restaurants accounted for 1 in 10 jobs in Massachusetts. Right now, many are open not to turn a profit but to keep staff members employed, particularly undocumented workers who donât have access to government benefits.
