Written By: Terry McCollough | × Douglas Houle, age 2-1/2, is safely back in his daddy s lap after wandering away from home this morning. Douglas, son of the David Houle of Route 5, went missing at 10:30 a.m. and was found two hours later about a mile from home. He was spotted by Bill Morris, the flying game warden, who directed searchers to the boy. MARCH 15 20 years ago (2001) Irene Johnson, 81, a relentless community activist on the issue of fluoridation, has died at Woodland Good Samaritan in Brainerd. Johnson led the city s fight against state mandated fluoridation, which reached the point of five council members being held in contempt of court in 1979, and eventual fluoridation on Feb. 7, 1980.
